Eligibility Criteria

We consider requests for donations from organizations that meet the following criteria:

• Not-for-profit organization 
• Fill a recognized need and benefit the community at large
• Promote positive awareness and goodwill for the company
• Support the public
• Complement the company’s interests and values
• Have not already received a contribution from any of the Lehigh Inland companies in the current budget year
• Industry related conventions and conferences
• Support one of Lehigh Inland’s four areas of focus (environment, community, education, health & safety)

Ineligible Groups

We do not consider requests from organizations with the following criteria:

• For-profit organizations
• Churches or other religious organizations
• Non-industry related conventions and conferences
• Foreign programs
• Organizations that Revenue Canada deems ineligible for tax deductible contributions
• Tickets for contests, raffles or other prize oriented activities
• Trips, tours or travel costs
• Third-party fundraisers
• Organizations discriminating on the basis of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation
• Organizations already funded by the United Way
