At Inland Concrete, we want to be recognized not only for our commitment to quality and service, but also for meeting our environmental responsibilities in a responsive and pro-active manner.
Even though Inland Concrete's operations typically have a minimal impact on the environment, a company-wide policy was created to ensure our business has a minimum long term effect on the environment. The Environmental Management System (EMS) builds on our commitment to enhance our communities.
The EMS is designed to:
- Prevent the occurrence of environmental incidents at the outset;
- Integrate environmental impacts into existing decision making processes, such as our existing safety system;
- Establish due diligence in the event that an incident does occur;
- Establish a means of tracking our environmental performance over time.
The EMS uses policies, procedures and practices to achieve Inland Concrete’s environmental performance objectives and targets. It is a systematic, documented approach to managing and reducing environmental risk.
